Paducah Summer Festival     July 22 - 30, 2005
Sand in the City is the kick-off event to the Paducah Summer Festival.  In just six hours on Friday, 22nd local company and high school sand teams, with design assistance from Lower Town Artists, will transform 270 tons of sand and 4,000 gallons of water into magnificent giant sand sculptures. The sculptures are open for public viewing all weekend with entertainment, kids activities, giant children's sandbox, face painting and food.
